Mumby is a Congolese artist raised in Belgium, working internationally through painting.

Her work explores identity, posture and visibility through the body, focusing on how presence is read and negotiated in public space. It reflects the tension between inner states and perception.

Her process begins with images collected from Congolese visual culture, which form the basis of her paintings. This collection has grown into The Kin Archives a personal visual library of style, music and everyday life from the 1970s to the early 2000s.
